Susan Kaymon Head Coach Realizing she needed to make some lifestyle changes, in 2001 Susan started training with SF Fit for her first marathon – the San Jose International Marathon. Since that time, Susan has run four marathons, including: Honolulu, San Diego Rock and Roll and Long Beach. In addition to running marathons, Susan has run San Diego’s Finest Half-Marathon and several smaller races throughout California. She is currently training for the Oakland Half-Marathon. Additionally, as a result of her experience while training for the San Diego Marathon, Susan, and her partner Claire, founded Interactive Recreation Information Systems (IRIS). To support the needs of all trail users, including trail runners, IRIS is creating a GIS database of interconnected trails throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. To date, Susan has walked or ridden over 1,300 miles of trails in the East and North Bays.

Claire Kaymon Head Coach Claire started running as far back high school in the early 1970\'s and stayed with it, off more than on, for several years. Running helped her to stay fit while pursuing a career in the US Air Force and later in the Los Angeles County Sheriff\'s Department. She drifted away from running shortly after leaving Law Enforcement in 1991. But, a few years of drinking Martini\'s & eating out added 25 pounds to an older stressed out body. That\'s about the time Claire decided it was time to turn the corner on her health. Claire came across USA Fit in San Francisco in 2001 through her sister Dianne, who was a member of the same organization in Honolulu. Bound and determined, on her first day, Claire muscled her way through a 2 mile time trial in what was not much less than 30 minutes – obviously not the best performance. None the less, she proceeded to train over the next 26 weeks to run the San Jose International Marathon. Though records weren\'t broken, she finished all 26.2 miles in a little over 5.5 hrs. Since then Claire has run three more Marathons including: Honolulu, San Diego Rock and Roll and Long Beach Marathons and has dropped her running time significantly. In addition to running Marathons, Claire has been a support person for other Marathon runners at the San Francisco and Los Angeles Marathons. She has run San Diego\'s Finest Half-Marathon and several smaller races throughout California. These days, you will find her training for the Oakland Half-Marathon somewhere in the bay area, rain or shine. Claire Kaymon is a whopping 54 years old today and has plans to continue running as long as her legs will carry her. Claire\'s running experience has led her and her life partner Susan, to pursue a business in trail data collection and digital mapping. Interactive Recreation Information Systems (IRIS) was organized to help support the needs of all trail users, including trail runners and hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders and others. IRIS has created, and continues to add data to, a GIS database of interconnected trails throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. To date, IRIS has captured over 1,300 miles of trails in the East and North Bays. Feel free to look us up at Ultimatetrailguide.com
